Andalou, Sangria, Williamsburg

Friday night was a blast. My dear friend from Amsterdam and I had the greatest fun! After 2 weeks of midterms and being sick I was really in need of a break. So I took the train into the city, dropped my bags of at H&B's house and went into the city to meet with my friend.
We had dinner at wild ginger. Later crossed the street for a pitcher of Sangria. Seeing as Williamsburg is hipsters Pa-Lace the crowd was interesting. We soon made friends who decided to show us around.
The night was cold, the spots cool and the people even cooler.
Union Pool is a bar that once was a pool. It is filled with semi-hipsters, artsy types and man with beards. But it's fun, they actually serve beer in cans, there's a courtyard outside were they have fires and you can buy tapas from a little van that stands there.
Then we moved on to Petes Candystore where they served nice but overpriced cocktails. We decided we were in the mood to dance and the british guy told us he knew a place. Greeted by what seemed to be a middleaged lesbian woman at the door, I knew we were in for a blast. Entering I was reminded of some of those 90's movies.
It might have been the lazers, it might have been the music, it might have been the scenery.
We called it a night and said goodbye to our friends. It was a lovely evening.
My dear Andalou, thank you! xxx
