Another friend came for a visit. 10 days of fun after 6 months apart!
As I had some classes to go to she ended entertaining herself a lot but the nights we spent together.
A very good variety of things we saw.
Long Island dancing and underaged drinking. Thursday was the night. Starting with thirsty thursdays at Bar Social, wich might be described as a normal sportsbar. Ending up dancing to the finest music of our time at Nacho Mama's.
Friday we went into the city. We had dinner at the histercal Cafe Yaffa. Indian-American-Bolly-Holly-Gay-Wood... The food was wonderful and the decoration amazing. We met up with A. at her local bar and had cocktails with wonderful names such as Rocket to space and something I can't recal. A. took us on a trip down into the rabbit hole called the L.E.S.
From standing in line for a bar to dancing behind the barbershop with dopedup australians, americans and brits. Pleasure in photobooth and a lottle of scotch and soda...
Saturday we all woke up in a haze at A's house and went to meet her friends for brunch. There's nothing like NYC-brunch. Poached eggs and bloody mary's. Although, I have to admit I wasn't feeling up to the latter.
I took my friend to my fave place for Sangrias in Williamsburg. At 12 o'clock it would be her birthday and we went to another bar with a photobooth to take some pictures of the memorable moment. There we ran into a guy who suggested we'd all go up to the top of the Empire State building. It was open till 2, we could make it! Up there we felt on top of the world in so many ways. We spotted a rooftop-bar that seemed like the place to be and decided to go check it out.
A bottle of Mumm, people wearing red bathrobes and the Empire state as our view.
Needles to say, sunday we were trashed. We hung out for a couple more days until I had to see my friend off again. It was a wonderful 10 days but now I need to focus on school again.
Developping pictures I took of my friend, excited to print them. And next week it's spring-break, another visitor, more adventures!
